 There has been an interesting survey going on at the largest blogging platform in Japan, Ameba blog, asking if you like Ghibli more than Disney or vice versa.

So far, Ghibli is leading the race with 56.7 %. Even though Disney is behind Ghibli, you might be surprised how popular the Disney is in Japan.

Rumor : Porco Rossso 2 On Its Way

It is rumored that Miyazaki Hayao’s next work will be the sequel of Porco Rosso!

It is still a rumor, Studio Ghibli will announce about the next work on December 15th. In the meantime, look at those photos and be prepared for the official announcement!

 The new project of Miyazaki Hayao was announced yesterday by the director of PR at Ghibli on his blog. Miyazaki’s new work, titled “パン種とたまご姫(pan-syu to tamago hime:translated probably as yeast and egg princess)” will be opened to the public at the Ghibli museum from November 20th.

When I watch Ghibli movies, I often wonder if these amazing places featured in the movie exist in the real world.

So I decided to collect the pictures that are supposed to related to Ghibli movies.
And today I’m going to invite you to the beautiful world of Porco Rosso. If you are lucky enough to live close to those places, I recommend you to check them through your own eyes and take some dandy “Porco” moment.

The Borrowers Arietti (Karigurashi no Arietti) will be shown in International Rome Film Festival. It will be the first time for this movie to engage with the movie festival. According to the PR director for Ghibli Mr. Nishioka, this film festival will feature Japan, and including the Borrowers Arietti, there will be some Ghibli movies, such as Nausicaä of the Valley of the Wind, Princess Mononoke, Spirited Away, Whisper of the Heart, and Only Yesterday.

So if you are a big Ghibli fan and live in Italy now (October 10th to November 5th), get the ticket right now! You can watch the Borrowers Arietti at 16:00 on 4th November.
